Zoë Kravitz: one-woman wonder of many cards. Known to favour Saint Laurent within her personal arsenal and to grace the red carpet and big screen with equally defying looks (Hello, Big Little Lies Audrey Hepburn?), the starlet has always torched with her looks. Now, we can pay tribute to one of our RUSSH-approved icons in tome form. ZOË is the latest paperback venture from Saint Laurent Rive Droite, featuring the title star in action in a photobook published by the luxury house.
ZOË pays homage to the actress’ personification of “the confident, contemporary sensuality that is the essence of the Saint Laurent woman,” and aims to honour her intimate relationship with Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello. Below, this is what to expect from the hallowed collaboration between Laurent Muse and Creator.
What will ZOË feature?
In black and white, the photobook will tell the story of the creative pair over 100 pages. Shot by Henrik Purienne, Kravitz is depicted in varying stages of the interior and exterior world. Her character is staged in multiple stages of scenic life. In some images, she's mid-blink, draped across the hood of a car. In others she's peering out a restaurant storefront, sunning her wares, or mid-cigarette. Some images do the talking on their own: Kravitz is lying on her chest, adjacent to a dalmation as she peers at the newspaper. The YSL muse is self-consumed by emotions of ennui and raging sensuality.
To add to the party, an additional cast of supporting faces have also been enlisted to bring this project to life. The most notable cameo? A shirtless Jeremy Allen White leaning against the hood of a car, face obstructed with a smoothie cup. From Urth Cafe? It's anyone's guess.
