Zendaya assumes her natural mythical form as a mermaid in her first Super Bowl commercial

Zendaya Super Bowl commercial

Is she an actress? Is she a fashion power house?

Is she dating Spiderman? Turns out, she's all of the above, but another addition to Zendaya's resume now includes Mermaid. No, sadly it's not her announcing her starring turn as the Little Mermaid, which frankly feels like a missed opportunity to us. Instead, she takes the lead in a new commercial for the Super Bowl, cementing her first ever for the major sporting event.

Partnering with Squarespace, the ten second clip, features the actress flirting about in a dreamy Disney princess dress. The dress in question is adorned with embellished seashells, giving us the same Ariel barbie vibes we carried around as a child. A mythical couture display, like everything else the Euphoria actress touches we have no doubt this dress will be on high rotation after the commercial airs. The commercial slogan reads; “Everything to shell anything,”, followed by a series of stills, where she is shown meditating on the beach.

Here we have the first tease at the spot for Squarespace, a website-building and e-commerce platform that you've no doubt heard spoken from every Youtube paid partnership. This isn't the first spot for the company at the Super Bowl, with Zendaya making this the eighth consecutive spot for the brand. In previous years they've included Hollywood heavyweights including, Dolly Parton, Winona Ryder, and Keanu Reeves. Overall, the Super bowl is always known to be a highly coveted period of syndication, so we expect this to make quite the impact to viewers worldwide.

We don't know about anyone else, but if Zendaya proves you can sit and meditate on a beach in a blue cocktail dress, we feel as if that gives us license to do just about anything.

You can watch the teaser for the ad below. The full commercial will air during the first quarter of the Super Bowl on February 13.
