If Zendaya ever asked us, we would follow her into battle. Whether across beauty, culture or most-importantly fashion, the Euphoria star is leading the charge; paving the way as a thought-leader, trendsetter and changemaker. On and off the red carpet, her style has cemented its own iconic status, making her one to watch no matter what the occasion. It certainly comes as no surprise then, that the 26-year-old has just been officially named as the newest addition to the star-studded list of global ambassadors for French luxury House, Louis Vuitton.
Zendaya and Louis Vuitton announced their new partnership this morning, releasing a vibrant, eye-catching campaign celebrating the House's instantly-recognisable Capucines collection – which the actor is now the face of. Captured against the backdrop of E-1027 – the Roquebrune-Cap-Martin house designed by modernist architect and designer, Eileen Gray – photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot bring the bags and setting to life.
In the shoot, the Golden Globe-winning actor embodies the dreaminess of the Cote d’Azur air. Transitioning from the terrace to balcony to rooftop and with a variety of Capucines – most notably a miniature Capucines BB – in tow, Zendaya brings a contemporary but sensual grace to the campaign. A sign or premonition perhaps of the energy she will imbue as the newest House ambassador.
Speculation surrounding a potential ambassadorship first began to circle when Zendaya attended the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2023 show in March, donning an unmissable head-to-tie tiger print-inspired look, and fittingly, a miniature Capucines BB. It wasn't the first time the actor, who is set to star in Luca Guadagnino's upcoming romantic sports comedy, Challengers, has attended a coveted Louis Vuitton show either. In 2016, and not long after Zendaya had made a splash as a style icon to watch, she attended the Louis Vuitton Fall 2016 show.
