Close to home but far from everything, I’ll be chasing a taste of the great outdoors with a spell spent at Simple Pleasures Camping Co. Bedouin on the Beaches. Give me a luxurious tent perched overlooking Manly Beach on the picturesque grounds of St Patrick’s Seminary, the softest IN BED linen, floors covered in authentic Persian rugs and artisanal cheese boards on arrival. Morning breakfast is just a wander down via rainforest path to The Boathouse, Shelly Beach.

Christmas means long, loud lunches with my family, gin and tonics in the backyard and Bruce Springsteen blasting loudly on Christmas Eve.
