By now, you’ve probably devoured Wicked: Part 1 and, if you’re anything like us, can barely make it through a task without humming the soundtrack. Sadly, there’s about a year-long wait until the second instalment hits cinemas, but there’s plenty to ponder until then.
Here at RUSSH, we’re horoscope enthusiasts so, naturally, we had barely left the cinema before we were consulting the stars to assign each character from the movie musical a star sign. Intrigued? Of course you are. Below, see exactly which Wicked character you are according to your zodiac. But be warned: there are spoilers ahead.
Aries: Nessarose

Hotheaded and honest, Aries is one sign that prefers to do things their own way. It's this determination that reminded us a lot of Nessarose. Not only is she fiercely independent, but she's also quick to react to her sister — often without pausing to give thought to why Elphaba behaves the way she does.
Taurus: Boq

Taurus is ruled by Venus (the planet of love) which means, when they fall in love, they fall in love hard. And, just as Boq fawned after Glinda, Taureans hold the objects of their affection in extremely high regard. While they won’t always be forthcoming in telling that person how they feel, they prefer to show them through their dependability – remember when Boq asked Nessa to the OzDust ballroom?
Gemini: Madame Morrible

When it comes to social interactions, Geminis are the most quick-witted of the zodiac bunch. But they also have an uncanny ability to use these charms for personal gain. On face value, Madame Morrible appears to have Elphaba’s best interests at heart, and is committed to helping her harness her values for good. But by the end, this proves nothing more than a ruse, with Madame Morrible having won Elphaba over as part of her and The Wizard’s evil grand plan.
Cancer: Miss Coddle

Miss Coddle is a new addition to the Wicked universe, and she personifies Cancer’s sympathy and good-heartedness through and through. A natural-born caretaker, she takes the students of shizz under her wing as soon as they arrive at the university.
Leo: The Wizard

If the stereotype rings true, Leo’s love to be the centre of attention, no matter at what cost. It makes sense, then, that The Wizard would fall under this sign: theatrical and charming, he has won the people of Oz over with his performance of Wizardry, without actually having any real powers to show for it. The definition of having a way with words, if you ask us.
Virgo: Doctor Dillamond

Doctor Dillamond’s love of history and advocacy for the rights of animals perfectly align with Virgo’s analytical, helpful nature. Plus, he runs a tight-ship when it comes to his classes at Shiz – a likely offshoot of Virgo’s intense perfectionism.
Libra: Glinda

Librans care intensely about what others think of them – much like Glinda, whose life mission is to be popular. Because of this, they have a unique ability to adapt their personalities to who they’re around, be it gossiping with Pfannee, or sidling up to Fiyero. Deep down, however, Libra’s are truly passionate and empathetic, a trait that was only truly unlocked in Glinda when she met Elphaba.
Scorpio: Pfannee

Scoripio’s are often mysterious and, as a result, can come off a little intimidating at first. Often intense and a little manipulative, Scorpio’s work hard to command social situations. Sound familiar? Pfannee, Glinda’s sidekick, immediately identified her as the most popular student at Shizz, and worked hard to ensure this social capital became his own.
Sagittarius: Fiyero

Sagittarians tend to be unshackled from attachment, and sometimes a little reckless, which sounds a lot like Fiyero, if you ask us. The prince moves through the world based entirely on his feelings, no matter how many schools it gets him kicked out of along the way. And, in case it wasn’t obvious by the way his classmates react to his arrival at shizz, Sagittarians – like Fieyro – are intensely charismatic; the life of the party in every room.
Capricorn: Governor Frexspar Thropp

While Capricorn's don't crave attention as such, they do care deeply about how other people view them and, as a result, hold themselves to impossible standards. Frexspar Thropp, the father of Elphaba and Nessarose, grapples with this issue throughout the film, causing him to disavow his eldest daughter's behaviour, particularly when it goes against the status quo.
Aquarius: Elphaba

Aquarians are self-proclaimed outcasts, and find it hard to go with the flow. Though her life has been fraught with adversity, as a young woman, this has manifested in a knee-jerk reaction to go against the norm. However, despite her differences, Elphaba is always striving to make the world a better place, regardless of whether that means destroying her own life as she knows it in the process.
Pisces: ShenShen

Another of Glinda's closest confidantes is ShenShen. Behind her cheery outward nature, ShenShen is a master at getting what she wants from just about any social situation, by switching up her personality to match who she's with — a skill many Pisces are adept at. Much like this sign, ShenShen can also be dreamy, mischievous, and has a wicked sense of humour (no pun intended).
