Come together. British designer and fashion icon Vivienne Westwood has never been afraid to speak her mind, often channelling her personal and political activism into her vibrant collections. Her latest project, Get A Life, created in collaboration with cultural entrepreneur Adrian Cheng, is a curated exhibition of Westwood’s collections, art and campaign work undertaken with groups such as Greenpeace and the UN, aimed at spotlighting environmental issues in China. The artworks span across six individual rooms, interspersed with drawings from Westwood, tying together to illustrate the designer’s larger narrative; the environment informs design, which goes on to inform her personal philosophy and activism. The exhibition will be on display at the Shanghai K11 Art Mall ’til February 28.
