The answer is probably not, but Uber is about to change just that by transforming the Icebergs swimming pool in Bondi into Australia's biggest ice bath this Sunday. Yes, you read that correctly; for one day only Uber One members will be able to test the waters (and their tolerance for the cold) by participating in a wellness recovery session that will go down in history.
“We’ve got ice, ice, baby and we’re deploying it to create the world’s coolest ice bath ever,” said Uber One’s Director of Operations, Beth Pondo, “Thousands of miniature icebergs will give loyal Uber One members a chill recovery as we help this Aussie landmark live up to its equally iconic name.”
How do you book?
So, how does it work? The event – which will take place from 9-11am on Sunday 11 August – will be available to Uber One members, with hundreds able to pre-book 15 minute sessions in the ice bath through the event booking portal. The ice bath isn't the only reason to head down either, with all registered guests also being treated to post recovery merchandise and complimentary food and drink. And of course, it's not a recovery without great music – but don't fear, there'll be a series of musical performances throughout the morning finishing off with a DJ set by Touch Sensitive.
Can you still attend if you don't book a session in the ice bath?
