If you don't have plans for this weekend, and it's not by choice, then I don't know what to tell you. If you're on the ball, you can still snap up tickets to a match at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, or you can spend the weekend in the theatres watching Barbie or Oppenheimer (why not both?). Otherwise, below we've curated a list of things to do this weekend across Australia this July instead.

 

NSW

The FIFA Women's World Cup is coming to Australia and New Zealand from July 20. If you want to see the Matildas play, you may have to trawl the resale section, however there are still tickets for many other games. Get amongst it.

PFEIFFER will be hosting its first ever warehouse and sample sale in Sydney from Friday, July 28 until Sunday, July 30 at its Bondi and Cronulla stores.

Splendour in the Grass turns 21 this July. Make your way to Byron Bay for the beloved festival and enjoy music from Little Simz, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lizzo, 070 Shake, Tkay Maidza, Sudan Archives and more.

Red Hot Arts is hosting a Winter Chill Festival in Alice Springs. Stop by for two nights of stories, music and campfire chats on July 16-23.

One of Australia’s largest Indigenous gatherings, Garma Festival features a four-day celebration of Yolngu life and culture held in remote Arnhem Land from July 28-31.

Queensland Ballet presents Bespokea triple bill from leading Australian choreographers Paul Boyd, Natalie Weir and Remi Wörtmeyer. Performances will take place at the Talbot Theatre from July 27 until August 5.
