The sweetest thing

If it’s possible to fall in love with a sweet, energy-filled pick-me-up then this just may be the one. The simplicity and flavour of this blend is what most people love, but personally, the nutritious combination of ingredients is what excites me most. Avocado, raw cacao and maca are three of nature’s finest to energise the body in all the right ways. Avocados are a rich source of monounsaturated fats to satiate the appetite and encourage the body to use fat for fuel. Raw cacao lifts our energy through its rich mineral content, namely magnesium, the key nutrient for energising the body. And maca root helps support the health of our endocrine (hormone) system for endurance and stamina.

Sweet choc maca cups

Ingredients

2 cups avocado, approx. 2 large avocados
1/3 cup raw cacao powder
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon maca powder
Fresh berries to serve

Method

Place all ingredients in a blender or high speed food processor and blitz to combine into a smooth mousse consistency. Serve in small glasses with fresh berries.
