The beauty market can be daunting but we're here to help. From the cult-worthy products, wellness rituals and the ones that won us over, these are the top shelf selects our RUSSH Beauty Director is loving.
Vintner’s Daughter Active Treatment essence
I have already spoken about this one but when a cult brand that’s hard to come by releases its second ever product, it’s worth mentioning twice. And, if I’m honest, another beauty editor told me my skin looked hydrated. My perpetually dry skin will now be forever grateful to the one-two punch from this essence and serum.
The Beauty Chef Gut Primer Inner Beauty Support
I’ve been a long-time fan of all The Beauty Chef products as they actually taste good. Need I say more? I’m a big believer in doing your diet in your own time, so I pack as many vegetables and strange powders into a morning smoothie, making the rest of the day a free-for-all food wise. The newest Gut Primer uses slippery elm, turmeric and milk thistle to aid digestion and repair the gut lining. If a smoothie for breakfast means bread for lunch and pasta for dinner then I am hooked.
Glossier Invisible Shield Daily sunscreen SPF 35+
This isn’t something I should really be admitting to but I am really bad at wearing sunscreen. At the beach every inch is covered in a protective layer but on the daily? Well … the closest I’ve come to being won over is Glossier’s offering. All sunscreens promise that ‘barely there’ feeling but with its clear, scentless formula this is the best one I’ve found at meeting that promise.
Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Voile lipstick and Baume à Lèvres Lip balm
I don’t often wear lipsticks. Actually, I never do (I’d rather eat). But there was just something about Gucci Beauty’s campaign for the lipstick range that had me hooked. That smile and those teeth. Pair that with the cute packaging and it’s safe to say I now have two lipsticks to happily sit unopened in my makeup bag.

Chanel Les Beiges Eau de Teint foundation
I’m not big on foundation but anything that boasts ‘sheer coverage’, ‘blurring effect’, ‘lightweight formula’, ‘natural-looking’ and ‘tint’ and I’m there. Chanel’s Water Fresh tint formula is perfect for when you want to even out skin tone without adding coverage. It comes with an applicator brush but fingers work fine and it really does give you a hydrating finish.
Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow gel
Hannah at Benefit Cosmetics shapes and tints my brows, and their vast array of brow products get me through the in-between. Whilst the clear gel is on my daily rotation the Gimme brow helps for when a really defined and full brow is needed. The formula adds a certain fluffiness as well as the perfect depth of colour.
