Pamela Anderson is earning the best reviews of her career, thanks to her role in Gia Coppola's The Last Showgirl. Our excitement has been building for the film since it premiered to rave reviews at Toronto International Film Festival in September. And now, with the emotionally-charged trailer here (sound-tracked by Miley Cyrus, no less), it's officially reached fever pitch.
See for yourself, and brush up on all the film's important details, below.

What is The Last Showgirl about?
The film charts the rise and fall of a Las Vegas showgirl, told from the perspective of a veteran performer, Shelley (Pamela Anderson), whose stage production is abruptly closed down after a 30-year run.
In the trailer, Shelley can be seen holding back tears as she preps for her final-ever performance, set to an as-yet unreleased Miley Cyrus song, 'Beautiful That Way'.
"Las Vegas used to treat us like movie stars," Shelley says in the trailer. "The costumes, the sets. We were ambassadors for style and grace. The Las Vegas showgirl."
Who else is cast in The Last Showgirl?
The film has some serious star power behind it. Jamie Lee Curtis plays a waitress, who acts as a close confidant to Shelley. Dave Bautista is cast as Shelley's manager (and ex-lover), who must break the news to her that her career is on the brink of ending. Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song are on board as Shelley's younger colleagues, while Billie Lourd plays her daughter, Hannah.
When will The Last Showgirl premiere?
The film is slated for a limited release in Los Angeles on December 13. The rest of the US will be able to see it from January 10, 2025. There's no word yet on an Australian release date, but we'll keep you updated as we know more.
