What with all the controversy that's recently surrounded The Idol, the latest brainchild of HBO, A24 and Euphoria show-runner Sam Levinson, we weren't exactly sure what to expect from the series' red carpet premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival. But if you were worried that the media controversies might have been enough to overshadow or get in the way of the glamour and fashion moments being served up on the carpet (sorry, we're looking at you Don't Worry Darling), you'd be sadly mistaken.
Levinson and his posse of starlets at the helm of the show (including BLACKPINK's Jennie, Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan and Moses Sumney to name a few) graced the red carpet with ease, showing a united and fashionable front for the legions of photographers on hand.
French fashion House's were at the fore of the evening, from archival 90s Chanel looks to Fall Winter 23 Patou – when in southern France, I suppose? But the evening was also punctuated by looks from Vivienne Westwood and Fendi, rounding out the evening's red carpet presentations.
