At this moment we were eaves-dropping on some local women who were scrolling through Tinder and savagely flicking left while laughing. We stayed at a nearby hotel for a few days, a short walk away from the beach. There was a train strike, so we paid a local shopkeeper to drive us to the hotel from Florence. He shut up shop and we rattled down the highway in this car that looked like it was held together with blue-tac and sticky-tape.”
