We all know what we're here for, and this year’s festival lineup was up there with some of the best in the world: Lorde, The Wombats, Ball Park Music, Vampire Weekend and Kendrick Lamar all standouts. If you’re looking for some homegrown talent Amy Shark, Jack River, Didirri andof course, Gang of Youths, are currently touring and never disappoint.

An Airbnb is the perfect way to get the most out of your time in Byron Bay, with buses that head straight into the festival every half hour and plenty of local spots for a big breakfast before you hit the stages. If time permits stay for an extra couple of days – there is no better recovery than sand and salt.

There is no doubt that Splendour is all about style, but comfort is also key to ensuring you can maximise your dancing time. Lace-up boots, a hat to keep the Byron sun at bay (which also conveniently doubles as a head warmer come night), and lip balm – I cannot stress the importance of lip balm.

The Unicorn Hotel pop-up offers a sit-down meal and is the perfect spot to re-fuel in between sets. Located right beside the GW McLennon Stage you can even catch a few bands while you enjoy Sydney’s favourite chicken schnitzel and a glass of ice cold wine.
