Life in the fast lane sure looks good when you're a member of Oracle Red Bull Racing. Ahead of team driver Sergio Pérez's second place win at the Australian Grand Prix, TAG Heuer flashed its motor racing roots with an evening in celebration of its long standing partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing.
A string of familiar faces descended the black carpet to Canvas House in South Melbourne before entering the venue via a light-animated hallway intended to mirror a racetrack. Bambi Northwood-Blyth made an appearance, as did Hanan Ibrahim and Montana Cox, along with Mimi Elashiry and Josh Heuston.
The evening began with shop talk, as Oracle Red Bull Racing drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez opened up about the Formula One season so far, in a Q&A expertly lead by sports journalist Abbey Gelmi.
“Driven by our deep ties with motor racing, being high steering precision under extreme time pressure, TAG Heuer proudly stands alongside the very best drivers, team, and championships with our alliance with Oracle Red Bull Racing and as official partner and Timekeeper of the team” says Van Mulryan, TAG Heuer General Manager Australia and New Zealand.
To mark the occasion the watch designer debuted a special edition reimagining of its TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Red Bull Racing timepiece. Immediately the eye is drawn to the navy and red colour palette adorned with flecks of vibrant yellow to mimic the Red Bull Racing teams uniforms. Arriving in 43mm, the chronograph blends sporting cues, like the stopwatch, with youthful design for a stylish newcomer to its watch collection.
