The beginning of 2021 has already presented quite the busy schedule for fashion aficionados. Almost a year on from the last physical Fashion Month, we've been kept hanging on the edge of our seats for a small taste of the covetable street style that has become synonymous with Fashion Weeks across the globe. Just last week, we were treated to the first round of street style talent, courtesy of the sartorial trailblazers at Copenhagen Fashion Week, and now the Swedes are staking their case on the streets of Stockholm Fashion Week 2021.
Standout collections came courtesy of STAND STUDIOS, who worked in collaboration with design company Bolon to put on a virtual reality exhibition to showcase its Spring/Summer 2021 collection. Capsule-driven brand Weekday also debuted an entirely plant-based collection, featuring denim garments made with hemp fibre and dyed with natural resources.
Although the Swedish capital was bereaved of its usual hustle and bustle, content creators and brands instead worked towards a strategic solution that would still whet the palettes of those of us longing for the return of the fashion calendar. With no physical shows to attend, street style veteran photographer Adam Katz Sinding was enlisted to help bring the season's most lust-worthy pieces and outfits to life through the vessel of the beloved fashion set.
From unmissable checkered suits, to the winter's most covetable and versatile outerwear trend – the puffer jacket – the chill was no match for these fashion mavens. And it shows.
