Thirty three bands touring seven cities across two weeks: St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is any live music-lover’s calendar highlight. The travelling festival makes its way to Sydney’s College of the Arts in Rozelle this Saturday, February 4, for a day of local and international talent, food stalls, markets and vinyl treasure hunting.

Spoilt for choice is an understatement when it comes to the 2017 lineup. Don’t miss Tame Impala for the end of their Currents tour, and last performance together for a while, on the Park Stage. Later, Jagwar Ma and Floating Points are in prime positions, closing the festival on the Future Classic and Spinning Top stages, respectively. My pick: get yourself an Ebi Burger from the guys at the Ume stall – you won’t regret it. Other must-visits are the Good Times Trailer Park for a mid-afternoon cocktail and the Le Petit Rosé garden, debuting at this year’s festival, for a glass of champagne with the main stage within earshot.
