Hair loss
As your body ages it releases a steroid called DHT. This steroid commonly restricts blood flow to the hair follicle, causing the affected hair follicles to die and fall off. But fear not, there are many natural DHT blockers. Pumpkin seed oil, green tea, and fenugreek are packed with DHT fighting power. Combining these ingredients in a hair mask can do wonders to combat hair shedding and enhance hair growth.
Damaged hair or scalp
For those who suffer from breakage, psoriasis or eczema, doing a hair rinse a few times a month can detoxify, absorb impurities, break apart product build-up and revitalise the scalp. Build-up from sweat and conventional hair products can cause major damage to the scalp, and have a huge affect on new hair growth – so it’s incredibly important to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. Remember, it’s not about having healthy hair or a healthy scalp; you need both to truly see changes in your hair. Apple cider vinegar improves the appearance of hair, reduces itchiness, and allows for better styling. The healthy scalp mask is anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, so that makes it great for anyone who is experiencing any symptoms of discomfort or dry scalp.
Dull or dry hair
If shiny hair is what you’re after, a hair mask with avocado and honey is exactly what you need for beautiful locks. Avocados are rich in a variety of vitamins and nutrients including vitamin E and protein, both excellent for keeping hair soft and healthy. Meanwhile, honey is a natural antibacterial agent, antioxidant, and incredible emollient.
