Love is in the air! When Simon Porte Jacquemus showed an almost exclusively bridal collection for his Fall 2022 show, Le Papier, we knew he had nuptials on the mind. Just a little over a year after Jacquemus announced his engagement to long-time partner Marco Maestri, the pair have held a ceremony at Charleval, in the Bouches-du-Rhône's town hall, over the past weekend on August 27, with what appeared to be an intimate group of friends.
The guests, which included models Mica Argañaraz and Tina Kunakey, alongside Dua Lipa and Jeanne Damas, arrived in light and bright colours, most of whom wore white alongside pieces from the Fall 2022 collection. Most notably, Lipa wore a sheer white gown from the Le Papier which was photographed as guests entered the town hall. Jacquemus walked along the gravel streets arm in arm with his grandmother, Liline, while Maestri arrived in a 1950s cream convertible MG with his mother, Catherine.

Further details of the day have not yet been released other than images of the guests arriving, and the knowledge that after the ceremony, the couple held a reception at Château de Bonneval in Charleval.
For the guests outfits, Jeanne Damas wore a camisole from look 5 of the Le Papier collection, while Dua Lipa wore look 15. Amina Muaddi wore look 17, Liline wore look 57, Lamia Lagha wore look 4, Sarah Lysander wore look 8, and Tina Kunakey wore look 20. Maestri's mother, Catherine, wore look 53, while many other guests were dresses in Jacquemus, not all look were from the most recent collection.

While it is certainly untraditional for all guests to wear white to a wedding, we are leaving behind archaic and traditional tropes of what weddings "should" be, and embracing, wholeheartedly, couples doing exactly what they want to make their celebrations of love feel personal and special.
There are no further images or information about what the reception or actual ceremony was like, but we'll be waiting with bated breath to see all of the joy Jacquemus and Maestri will inevitably be sharing in the weeks to come.
