At Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, daytime is strictly business only. We march from one show to the next, taking notes and filing stories holed up in the media room, and for our favourite models and fashion it girls, it's much the same. Between walking for St. Agni and Aje, Roberta Pecoraro hasn't stopped. Nor has Sarah Ellen, whose presence at Carriageworks has been felt in the slew of accompanying street style snaps. But as the autumn sky begins to dim and night descends over Sydney, the true festivities begin.
Sweater vests, blazers and practical shoes are traded in for their freewheeling friends. And we begin to see all the markings of business abandoned to make room for the glamour and debauchery that no doubt always follows. As we reach Day 4 of Afterpay Australian Fashion Week 2022, Roberta Pecoraro and Sarah Ellen have invited RUSSH to tag along for the ride. The two are sharing their most intimate moments of AAFW after dark through the lens of their point and shoot.
Continue on and see as the pair flit from a glittering dinner hosted by Paco Rabanne and Ellen to the annual RUSSH F*ck Fashion, Let's Dance soirée. Of course, it wouldn't be a party without the company of good friends. Cameos of our favourite faces, namely Olivia Suleimon, Sean Brady, RUSSH 'Courage' issue cover star Cameron Stephens, Mikka Byarugaba, Yasmin Suteja, Rhys Kosakowski and Matilda Dods, are interspersed with candid scenes of dancing and secret-sharing.
So if you've ever found yourself wondering about what goes on after the shows have wrapped up and Carriageworks closes its gates for the evening, then find your answer in Roberta Pecoraro and Sarah Ellen's visual diary, below.
