July has been a great month in the realm of beauty. We've seen some fabulous new releases that we can't wait to share with you. Here are some of our new favourite and old heroes for the month of July.
Virtue Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner
I'm a sucker for hearing the words "clinically proven". I like my beauty products backed by science and this line of haircare is. Virtue's Recovery line are clinically proven to provide ongoing and daily repair. The key ingredient is a patented formula, so we don't know 100% what's in it, but it works. My hair felt softer and the curls were far more manageable with just one wash. It gets the tick of approval from me.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer
We loved this one so much we wrote a whole article on it. Guaranteed this will go cult. This matte formula is weightless and does indeed appear to airbrush your skin. It works well on foundation and bare skin and the packaging is refillable.
The Beauty Chef Glow Powder
This cult ingestible beauty powder is back with a new supercharged formula. Since the original was such a hit, we're sure this one will be too. Some of the changes include double the amount of vitamin C, three times the amount of zinc and also added niacinamide.
The Jojoba Company Calming Oil
Featured in our article on favourite body moisturisers, this is an excellent product to calm irritated and dry skin. It's double duty too, so you can use it on your face and your body.
Grown Alchemist Soothing Hand Cream
This lush hand cream is infused with cactus flower, cedarwood atlas and tri-hya - ingredients that are designed to heal and smooth. Cedarwood Atlas even has antiseptic properties that can assist in eliminating bacteria according to the brand. We adore the pink packaging too. It's a pretty little addition to your beauty tray.
Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum
It's still early days for us to determine whether we're getting the full vitamin C benefits, but so far I love this serum. Vitamin C serums can make you break out, in fact most of the ones that I've tried have had that effect. But this one has added PHAs, surface level exfoliants to keep your skin baby smooth. Normally I use a vitamin C during the day for antioxidant protection but I use this one at night so I can wake up with plumped, bright and smooth skin.
Glasshouse A Moment in Tokyo Candle
A little bit smoky, a little bit floral. This candle is perfectly balanced in my opinion. I love it. It's a wonderful way to add a warming aroma to your home, a perfect winter candle. I will be repurchasing this one.
Swisse Manuka Honey Daily Glow Foaming Cleanser
What I love about Swisse beauty is that the brand takes the same time and care with the topical products as it does with its vitamins and supplements. Vitamin C is a notoriously unstable ingredient, but the brand has found a way to stabilise it and add it to this lovely cleanser. It's a great product for oily and breakout prone skin because it also includes papaya enzyme which exfoliate gently.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Mask
It's the first step in the skincare routine of the brand's founder Dr Barbara Sturm. Need we say more? We spoke to Dr. Barbara about her approach to beauty last week and her skincare advice is all time.
Fenty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncuffed
We're having a bit of a 90s moment this month. You may have seen our ode to movie favourite Cruel Intentions or even our love of brownie nude lips. So, we're coming back to our old favourites. Plus, we're super excited for the new Fenty Skin launch, so we've been revisiting this pinky-brown nude lip paint by Fenty Beauty. It's the perfect shade to match your big hair and slip dress.
