December is always a big month in beauty. It's a time when all our favourite brands release their latest innovations and new products for the year ahead. Tried and tested, here's what we absolutely loved this month.
Cloud Nine The Texture Wand
Image: Cloud Nine
Cloud Nine’s latest creation is a curler but not as you know it. It’s called the Cloud Nine Texture Wand, a device designed to bring out your natural curls. Plus it has a varying temperature control from 125-175 degrees to help minimise heat damage.
Pai Light Work Rosehip Fruit Extract Cleansing Oil
Image: Pai Skincare
This all-natural product is a heavy-duty lifter. It gets everything off without too much rubbing. It dissolves even waterproof mascara easily, so you don't have to rub all your eyelashes trying to wash your face. And it leaves your skin feeling nourished and never tight. It really ticks all the boxes.
Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick
Image: Clarins
The Clarins “red” is a longstanding signature for this beauty brand. The Joli Rouge lipstick is one of the most iconic lipsticks of all time - and for a reason. It is somehow the perfect red, one that manages to suit literally everyone. We all need a red lipstick come party season, and this is the one we love.
Elizabeth Ardern Flawless Finish Skincaring Foundation
Image: Elizabeth Arden
I adore this foundation. A new one from Elizabeth Arden, it a stay-all-day formula that doesn't dry out your skin and still applies very naturally. As someone who detests full-coverage foundations, it's really hard to find a 24-hour formula that is light and buildable. I like how well you can sheer this product out.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
This cult favourite is an essential for the coming party season. A mask for your lips that plumps and softens. And I swear you wake up with bigger lips in the morning. It's the perfect prep ahead of a bold lip.
Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Golden Nights
Image: Dior
The perfect little eyeshadow compact to slip in your handbag. It's small enough to carry with you but the colours are bold enough to give you instant party eyes.
Aēsop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum
Image: Aesop
A luxurious accompaniment to any skincare regime. Aēsop's Parsley Seed range is a skin saviour and the serum in particular is a gem. It's rich in antioxidants but has a low irritation factor. If your skin can't normally handle actives, this is one you should try.
Huda Naughty Nude Eyeshadow Palette
Image: Huda Beauty
If you're looking to punch up the glam, this is the palette for you. It's filled with mattes, shimmers and even a gloss - all in the prettiest pink, nude, gold and red shades. Looking at this palette is a feast for the eyes and using it is a beauty-lover's dream.
Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum
Image: Sulwhasoo
Designed to be the first step for your skin post-cleanse, Sulwhasoo's First Care Activating Serum is a hydrator that won't overwhelm freshly cleaned skin. It helps to prep your complexion, and allows the rest of your products to absorb more efficiently.
Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask
Image: Caudalie
We've already written about why Caudalie is one of our favourite French pharmacy brands - and one of our favourite products from the brand is the Glycolic Peel. It's never-fail, pick-me-up for dry or dull skin. I love to use it on a week where I've been wearing a lot of makeup and need a skin refresh. It's to shed all the dead skin, dirt and grim that can sit in your pores.
