Nearing the end of the year is a chaotic time. Between the never ending to-do lists, events and constant reminders, there isn't always time to scour the internet in search for inspiration. It could be skincare one may be pondering, or an undying need to pick up some new sandals. Either way – sit back, relax and prep those thumbs to scroll because we've got something special for you. Read on for what the RUSSH editors are shopping in October.

I’ve just returned from a trip abroad and have done a bit of shopping damage in the process. I picked up a gorgeous cashmere striped sweater from Reformation that’s the perfect mix of slouchy and louche (aptly called the ‘Boyfriend Sweater’ on their site). I also couldn’t help but replenish my stock of La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume while in Paris. I’m also obsessed with my new Service Projects Stainless Steel Breakfast Bowl (perfect for holding a little pre-dinner aperitivo snack), and my new SOEUR Sandals (although I’m also eyeing off the SOEUR Andy Slippers next…). And finally, who isn’t pining for the new Glossier You fragrances? I’ll be looking to get hold of them when they drop next week on the Glossier site.

Fresh out of Paris Fashion Week and the mini Loewe Madrid bag is instantly on my wishlist, and probably will be for the next few months as that collection won’t be out for a while… I did get the Gemma dress from Realisation Par and it was such a good investment. So light and beautiful, I have also been styling it as a skirt. I have been loving Mode Mischief too, I have one of their tops and think their Lilou Blouse should be my next addition from them. Adding to my summer wardrobe I did also purchase the Ophelia dress from Withjean and their jeanie bikini. I also recently really discovered Paloma Wool (embarrassed to say) and as a lover of sheer fashion, I really love their tops, particularly their Brusi top. And on the topic of sheer, this JW Anderson long pink sheer blouse is beyond tempting, and these heels too are gorgeous, also these… JW Anderson Chain heel.

It was my birthday last month, so I did go a little crazy on Depop. So most of this month’s wishlist items will probably stay on my wishlist rather than eventuate into actual purchases. I adore this red dress from Posse. I can’t stop thinking about it. While the bubble hem has been declared dead in favour of the hourglass dress, I think this strapless bubble hem dress would be perfect for the summer season ahead. I must call out that, despite my pledge to be a bit more purchase responsible this month, I did give in and buy this Realisation dress. I couldn’t help it.
In terms of actual purchases, I do have a few beauty top ups that I need to grab. I finally finished my mega bottle of TRESemme hairspray. It was all rusted at the bottom because I’d had it for so long. I’m going to buy the same one because I find the smell is a bit gentler than other brands. My hair is starting to shed a little too much so I’m switching back to my favourite Hair Rituel by Sisley Shampoo. I took it with me overseas last time I went to see my dad and my step mum was raiding my beauty bag every other day to borrow it. It’s that good. Since I finished my last bottles of Ultra Violette for body, I’m going to try this We Are Feel Good Inc sunscreen next. And since it's a limited edition, I’m going to have to grab some of the Ouai St Barts Hair Oil.

I have been duped by the last few days of sunshine in Sydney, so I’ve been on the hunt for some warm weather additions to my wardrobe. I snapped up this mini dress by Faithfull, and am eyeing off this matching shirt and pants set as the perfect throw-on-and-go look. I’m late to the trend, but I’ve been thinking about jumping on the jorts bandwagon for a while, and this pair by LouLou Studio has caught my attention. And this leopard midi dress by Réalisation Par has finally graduated from my wishlist to my wardrobe. More practically speaking, I’ve (literally) worn my last pair of A Emery sandals to death, so I’ll be grabbing these leather thongs in the black colourway. I’m also well overdue for a moisturiser top up, so I’m going to try this Dr Dennis Gros oil free formula for the warmer months.

October looks to be a restock month for me. I’m in need of a few beauty favourites, the first being my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. I also need a restock of my Kosas brow gel (the best brow gel ever) and Avène Thermal Spring Water spray.
I have a habit of keeping hand cream in the many places I frequent and the one in my car is now empty, so I will be repurchasing the Aesop Reverence Hand Balm. For wishlist items this month, I’ve been eyeing these blue Birkenstock clogs and am finding I’m bringing more colour into my footwear collection. Lastly, I am already on the Christmas gift grind and have this gorgeous Argent Silversmith Birthstone Necklace Stack in mind for someone special…

I’m on a shopping ban, but that doesn’t stop me from wish-listing or making notes for when the self-imposed ban has lifted. Beauty-wise, I am obsessed with the new Rationale Beauty Balms — I’ve been using the cheek colour religiously, I plan to add the lip shade into my routine. I’m not completely into the Miu Miu stripes, but I did try on this plain polo from COS the other day and loved it; perfect over a leotard for Pilates. Also manifesting these satin mules from The Row, and a second pair of Olivia Bond Diamond huggies now that my second piercings have healed enough to change my earrings. I’m very much into a double hoop situation.

I’m going on holiday in a few months so, like Em, I am trying to hold off on unnecessary spending. I have had my eye on the Apple Airpods Max for a while. I listen to audiobooks constantly and my current earpods are on their last legs. They would be great on our long haul flights too. I have been putting off ordering a new pair of glasses but I need to do this before the end of the year. I can’t stop thinking about this Miu Miu pair.
Meadowlark recently released a new series of charms for their swivel necklace, which is on my wishlist for a future date. I'd love to get it in gold with the croissant, cherub, cursive ‘C’ and lobster.

Life has been a little more chaotic than usual lately which means I’ve been very lazy fashion wise. Jeans and a white singlet has become my unofficial uniform, so I’ve decided it’s time to up my jeans game. This Y Project black pair have the perfect high waist, straight leg fit that I’m after, whilst also adding a little something extra to make them interesting when I’m not in the mood to style a full outfit. The men’s version of the same pair in light wash denim is also a strong contender for a more slouchy look.
The Neuw Denim Jonesy singlet is my forever go to and I’m in need of a refresh before summer. I’m a little taller so it’s the perfect length on me with low waist jeans to still have a little bit of skin showing.
Skin care wise I’m also on the hunt for something new and Mukti Organics have a Gel Cleanser and Hyaluronic Serum that I’m dying to try.
Last but not least, books and I’m dying to get my hands on Sally Rooney’s new one, Intermezzo.

I haven’t shopped in a few months (out of character) but I am starting to hear the little voices in my head say ‘shop… shop… shop…’. It is my birthday soon, so in the spirit of the upcoming warmth and celebratory season, I have my eye on this cute Acne number. Also ask anyone in the RUSSH team and all I’ve been talking about for months is how I want to find the perfect brown loafer, and I think I may have actually found them in this Tod’s pair. The detailing is perfect! However I might also need to think about the weather and the fact that we are going into another hot aussie summer, so maybe these little tabi heels from Maison Margiela will have to be subbed in. And lastly, after watching our Kiehl’s x RUSSH sleepover event unfold, I’m obsessed with all things Kiehl’s skincare. First thing on my list, the Rare Earth deep pore cleansing mask; because my pores are just massive atm!!! (TMI).
