Autumn has officially arrived. This, naturally, means our hearts are broken and our minds are boggled by the very suggestion of a cool breeze in the southern hemisphere. It is not a pleasant prospect, the impending arrival of winter. Instead it is one that we will fight against every day that it befalls us. The only way to quell the seasonal depression that goes hand in hand with living in a city that has no infrastructure to protect us against the icy 10 degree temperatures that Sydney must endure is to shop the pain away and dream up autumnal outfit combinations that make everything bearable.

This is what we're buying this autumn to prepare ourselves for the return of the cold. Updating wardrobe staples is a must, so we've turned to Balenciaga and Saks Potts to update our outerwear with a refreshed tux and a buttery leather bomber jacket, while Gucci offers a fun element with their practical and memorable The North Face collaboration. For shirting, we're taking styling cues from Fall 2022 runways with a new affinity for the rugby shirt, which we can always rely on Ralph Lauren to supply the best of the best. For the evening, Christopher Esber can never be beaten on the note of sensual knitwear – crown him king already! Speaking of knitwear, the launch of COS' online platform in Australia has us lusting after their cashmere offerings, namely, the scarves, while you can never go wrong with a trans seasonal shoe from Khaite. This season an off-beat, western mule has caught our eye.

As per our last round up, we are leaning into muted colours more. Steering clear of neon and pastels, this cooler season is all about muted jewel tones that fit seamlessly into our wardrobes.
