We always knew the four bandmates of BLACKPINK were a talented bunch. After all their extracurricular activities outside singing, dancing, and rapping clearly support this. Aside from Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé being the global ambassadors for Chanel, Celine, Dior and Saint Laurent respectively, they've also dabbled in their own individual share of side projects. Take for example Lisa's new photobook series or Jennie's collaboration with Korean eyewear label, Gentle Monster. And as is the case with every fresh pursuit, we never see it coming even if the signs are safety yellow and dressed in drag.
I mean, we knew Rosé enjoyed baking, and we remember when she launched her own YouTube channel in March 2021, but we never expected her to actually use it. Now it seems that the K-Pop star's vlogging days are finally here. On March 7, Rosé uploaded her first video to YouTube and in it she takes us on a behind-the-scenes journey of her baking class as she whips up a sweet treat for all of us Blinks.
Naturally, the vlog begins with a quick outfit check. Rosé from BLACKPINK has opted for a brown peacoat in the name of Ludwig Bemelmans' Madeline, a fitting choice as she reveals that she'll be baking a batch of madeleines for the occasion. Watching Rosé pipe batter into moulds and sprinkle it with chopped pistachios has to be a new frontier for ASMR. I loved it.
While we're not often fans of the celebrity-meets-cooking format, this is certainly a visual feast we can get behind. A Rosé food vlogging series may even trump our obsession with Stanley Tucci's Searching for Italy. Don't believe us? You'll just have to see for yourself in the YouTube video below.
What will she post next? Actually, more to the point, what will Rosé bake next, and when is she getting her own cooking show?
