In partnership with R.M.Williams
Australian heritage brand R.M.Williams shares a new perspective on what it means to be an explorer with the brand's new campaign On The Road - an ode to the Australian landscape.
Paying homage to the brand's 89 year history of craftspersonship, the collection explores the archives of R.M.Williams through a modern lens, bringing the brand's identity into a contemporary setting. And, offering a new perspective on styling for the free-spirited wanderers among us.
The campaign, lensed by Jake Terrey, shows adventure-loving friends celebrating the vastness of the Australian Outback. Travelling on the road with a go-forth attitude, nostalgia is evoked through the imagery of sprawling planes and Australian flora. Nods to sentimentality of good memories and past holidays on the road - a moment in time we dream of reliving once again. Dawn-lit coastlines run into the craggy desert terrain of Esperance, Western Australia, and suddenly it feels so good to be here.
The collection offering draws on what R.M.Williams does so well. Classic silhouettes, iconic boots and leather goods. Utility and functionality come together with the signature attention to detail that the brand is so heralded for. Drawing on the deep connection to the land that is at the heart of R.M.Williams’ heritage, printed silk neck scarves are layered over classic white t shirts, tailored trousers meet the signature Lady Yearling boot at rolled hems, breezy cotton button down shirts are paired with Akubra hats, while supple suede button up jackets offer elevation and luxury.
Footwear, is of course a focal point. Rendered in richly captured colour and black and white imagery, The Gardener Commando, new Urban Shearling styles and the Balmoral burnished boot, which reintroduces a classic side zip feature, draw the eye down. Women’s footwear is led by an expansion of styles in the elevated Maya boot, and the launch of linen elastics as a more textural finish for Lady Yearling styles.
An invitation to return home, to move outward and go within, and lap up the land borrowed in which we tread upon. Explore the full On The Road collection at the R.M.Williams website.
