An icon evolves for the future – introducing Porsche’s new all-electric Macan

In partnership with Porsche

A decade ago, Porsche authored a new playbook for the world of SUVs. Drudgery gave way to performance. Practicality slipped its hand into the velvet glove of luxury, and everyday drives transformed from passive transport into experiential feats.

10 years on, and the spirit has evolved. Porsche – no stranger to creating electric cars that go beyond expectations – is back to imbibe the standard-setting Macan with a renewed design in an an all-electric iteration.

Introducing 2024's Porsche Macan 4, an electric vehicle that's ready to move you and one of the most exciting EVs to arrive in Australia. Ushering in a new era of regeneration, the all new Porsche Macan EV is high-powered and whisper-quiet.

A Porsche – in any shape, size or configuration – is a driver’s vehicle. Ask anyone who spends their life behind the wheel searching for exhilaration and they’ll tell you that it’s a Porsche that made them that way.

Underneath the sleek curves and soft leather is more than just another electric SUV. The new Macan EV is the culmination of a wealth of technology, but on the surface, it's a symphony the blends design and desire. Electrification gives way to increased space, a new storage compartment under the bonnet and a wider, more airy internal design. Step inside, and you’ll find a sanctuary of quiet luxury enmeshed with new innovations. The low-slung seats invite you into the Macan’s performance-focused soul, while large windows flood the space with light.

The cockpit is purposeful yet inviting, blending analogue control elements with sleek digital interfaces, including an optional passenger display for shared journeys and joint experiences with your travelling companion. Passengers are able to use either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and even stream video from the display. Ambient lighting shifts the mood as you drive, subtly enhancing the experience, while new materials signal Porsche’s move further toward sustainability. It’s a space that feels both personal and future-facing, designed not just to support your journey but to elevate it.

Each model is an engineering marvel designed not only with the most cutting-edge scientific engineering, but with passion and heart. The car's “Hey Porsche” voice assistant can suggests routes, including charging stops, eliminating range anxiety. It’s powered by a new electric architecture that offers faster recharging from a DC fast charger, and greater efficiency on the road. With an average range of 600km on a single charge across the two Macan EV models, there's lightning performance from every motor. Porsche’s legacy of performance is fused into every nut, bolt and volt of the new Macan 4 EV.

To drive the new Macan is to experience it as a sensation, not a statistic. Buckle your belt, shift into D and you merge with the future, ready to experience a SUV like never before. Every press of the accelerator, tap of the brake or sweep of the wheel unfolds the road less travelled before you, just waiting to be ably explored. It’s performance in motion.

Honouring the badge, Porsche doesn’t just vehicle carry its standard onto the open road. To be a Porsche, it must be configured for driving pleasure, occupant safety, and with innovative and evolutionary tech.

Arriving on the 10th anniversary of the original Macan’s release, the Macan EV range is a continuation of Porsche's legacy of design. It’s a remastered classic. A four-wheeled Dylan going electric. A proud lineage redefined with a charging plug. A classic Porsche experience re-configured with a modern edge. The sweeping lines, pronounced shoulders, and sculptural details feel timeless, like a classic remastered for the future.

The battery-based Macan 4 and Macan Turbo – like Porsche’s first all-electric vehicle, the Taycan – sets a new standard for its segment. A reminder that legends never die, they only find new ways to inspire.

Porsche’s newest EV, in both its iterations – the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo – will hit the roads early in 2025.
