Philadelphia-based pizza king, Joe Beddia, has landed on Australian shores to serve Sydney-siders a slice of what has been lauded 'the best pizza in America'. After discovering the benefits of cooking his pizza in a gas oven, unlike traditional pizza ovens, he recently closed his popular - think daily queues around the block - five-year-old pizzeria in Fishtown, Philadelphia, and has set up shop temporarily at Bondi Beach Public Bar. Accompanied in the kitchen by Icebergs group executive chef Monty Koludrovic, and sommelier James Hird pouring the wines, the 60-seat pop-up pizzeria will remain open until July 28, from 6pm each day until the dough is sold out.
