Techno siren Peggy Gou has a nonchalant cool that's as effortless as it is infectious, and we're not just talking about her music.
The South Korean DJ and Producer, known for her eclectic mix of acid house licks, techno baselines and electro music, is actually quite the triple threat. A DJ, Producer and Fashion Icon. Moving to London when she was 14, Gou began to study fashion at the London College of Fashion, where music, her side gig at the time, began to blow up and eventually become her career. From performing at clubs in Seoul and London, to headlining at Coachella and the Berghain in a pretty scarce amount of time, her mastery extends beyond the stage. Today, the two passions of Gou work hand-in-hand- while her career isn't in fashion, her effortlessly cool style and level of fame invites her presence at front row for Fashion weeks. Recently, she was just spotted at Jacquemus's 15th anniversary show in Capri.
Gou even debuted her own fashion line Kirin in 2019 at Paris Fashion week. A streetwear label comprising of two-piece sets and jackets, a style that blends Korean mythology with club culture. This fusion perfectly embodies Gou's personal style of oversized tees layered over figure-hugging silhouettes, sporty pieces reimagined with a high-fashion twist, and pops of colour that exude effortless coolness. Her composure and signature sticker tattoos, adds that further touch of badassery that compliments her style. On set, Gou is one to dress to impress wearing vibrant co-ord sets and full monochromatic, to glistening cocktail dresses for the after party's. Her style is both comfortable and undeniably chic – the uniform of someone who's equally at home headlining a festival or strolling the streets of her now residing home, Berlin.
A large part of her street style identity is her enviable handbag collection. Rare, first-editions, high-luxury handbags are frequent in her rotation, where Bottega Veneta Andiamo's, and Hermès Birkin and Kelly's seem to be a favourite. And let me tell you, if anyone is going to persuade me to drop money on a bag it will be, and only, Gou.
