Just when we thought we couldn’t love him more, Paul Mescal has proven he’s every bit the sweetheart he appears on screen. The actor is taking to clothing resale app Vinted to offload his wardrobe from the recent Gladiator II press tour, with all proceeds going to Irish charity Pieta, which provides suicide and self-harm therapy services.
Over the last few months, the press tour in question was a whirlwind of shrunken knits, cardigans, and great denim. Now, you can get your own little slice of Paul (and perhaps even dress up your boyfriend in his likeness), with some of these iconic pieces up for sale. Among them, there's the baby blue and orange Hades wool cardigan, that you'll likely recognise from the Australian Gladiator press junket (which promptly sold out soon after Paul wore it). There's also the Extreme Cashmere striped jumper Paul wore for an SNL shoot, and a cardigan by emerging designer B W Marks — custom and hand-painted, of course.
There's also several accessories on offer for those who might not share the same clothing size as Paul, from a sleek black ERL cap that reads 'ACTOR', to a pair of Jimmy Choo boots.
The brains behind these looks, Paul's stylist Felicty Kay, also played a role in the partnership, saying, "Paul has always had a strong connection to vintage and pre-loved fashion. He’s often eager to re-wear pieces we’ve styled before or items from his own wardrobe.
"Partnering with Vinted for Paul’s Gladiator II promotion tour made perfect sense as it gave us the opportunity to delve deep into his love for second-hand clothes. In fact, I found a pair of Ben Davis workpants on Vinted, they fit Paul like a dream – no adjustments needed! They became one of his favourite pieces during the tour."
