In continuing her phoenix-like resurgence into current pop-culture, Paris Hilton has launched a podcast.
True to form, it's called This is Paris, the same name as the 2020 documentary film made about her life and early experiences as a child. This is Paris the podcast will be a series of honest conversations with friends and family, mixed in with personal stories from across Paris' life and career. And there will probably be a fair share of celebrity cameos.
“I’ve always been an innovator and first mover when it comes to reality TV, social, DJ-ing, and now I really believe that voice and audio is the next frontier,” says Paris about her latest project.
“During this whole year in quarantine, I’ve had more free time than I’ve ever had in my career. So I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts and getting really interested. When I’m cooking or working or doing my art, I always have them on in the background,” she told The New York Times.
The first episode is set to arrive on February 22, so look out toward the end of the month to catch it. The project has its own Instagram account which you can follow to stay up to date with the coming episodes.
This particular podcast has been created in partnership with iHeartMedia and we know it will be just the first of more to come. Paris's company has a whopping seven upcoming other shows on the docket to produce over the next three years.
Paris Hilton was a dominating force in the zeitgeist of the early 2000s. She was one of the world's original influencers, allow the term did not exist at the time, instead crowned a "socialite". Paris disappeared from the intense focus of the lime light for a time to focus on her career as a DJ, but now she's back and bringing her iconic brand of confidence mixed with catch phrases to current media.
