‘The Simple Life’ returns… Paris and Nicole are getting the band back together for a new reality show

For the love all all things early noughties... it's time to don your favourite mini and tell your hairdresser you want to go platinum yet again. We're returning to the start of the century, as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie will be reuniting on-screen for a new reality TV show. Before you sharpen your pitchforks and pick up your own fur baby (Rest peacefully, Harajuku Hilton), we thought you'd need some brushing up and what's what regarding the latest spin-off. Before we make our grand return to the That's Hot universe, this is what you'll need to know.

What do we know so far?

Production has allegedly greenlit the series, which is managed by James Corden. The series has also been purchased in advance to a streaming platform, though there's been no word as to who came out as the winner of the auction. We'll let you know as soon as we get our hands on more information.

Who will be involved?

Fans of original material can be assured that both Hilton and Richie will star as the headliners of the reboot. While news of crew behind the lens has yet to be released, we know that the reboot will be taking an altogether different life. The premise will focus on the lives of the two socialites in current day, with the title and the brief still completely under wraps. While we will miss the fast food and delivery errands, we cannot wait to see what newfound endeavours await the two. There's only one question left: Can we get off work tomorrow?

What was the original series – The Simple Life – about?

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie starred in The Simple Life as on and off-screen sisterwives between 2003 and 2007. The duo were reportedly known for high-camp, high-octane hjinks and the perfect peppering of vocal fry. Did we mention the fashion?
