The bed bugs (and the rest of the fashion industry) are gearing up for Paris Fashion Week, with the Fall Winter 2024 season taking place from Monday, 26 February through to Tuesday, 5 March 2024. Our highlights so far? Dior took us back to the 60s, with a riff on its youthful Miss Dior collections, meanwhile at Saint Laurent Anthony Vaccarello presented a collection built for the House's original muse Loulou de la Falaise.
There are other collections we're anticipating with bated breath. Take for example, Seán McGirr's debut as creative director of Alexander McQueen or Jonathan Anderson's magic at Loewe. More still, we're looking forward to the shows from the usual suspects Miu Miu, Schiaparelli, The Row, Valentino, CHANEL, Ann Demeulemeester, and fresher faces like Róisín Pierce.
But that's not all we're excited for. You don't garner the reputation as the epicentre of fashion by coincidence. Besides the runways and designers, Paris Fashion Week is an opportunity to witness how these garments are worn beyond the giant sets and without the eye of internal stylists. Yes, we're once again discussing street style – and if we've learned anything, no one does it like the French.
So come with us as we hit the streets of Paris Fashion Week for the FW 2024 season to spot the best street style of the moment. What is everyone wearing, and how are they wearing it? One recurrent motif we're noticing is models and industry members using fashion as a form of protest, with Mona Tougaard, Jennifer Matias, and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson sporting Palestinian colours on their jackets, shirts or even coffee cups.
For other styling cues from the likes of Amelia Gray, Julia Fox, Charli XCX, Mariacarla Boscono, Maggie Maurer, and more, you'll find plenty of examples below. So next time you're having a wardrobe crisis, insistent that there's "nothing to wear," return here for your dose of style inspiration.
