One of Hollywood's most iconic 90s couples, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's salacious relationship is receiving the small screen treatment, with news of a Hulu limited series, titled Pam & Tommy, in the works. Rebecca star Lily James has been pipped for the leading role as Pamela, with Captain America actor Sebastian Stan alongside her as Tommy.
For those needing a recap on the duo's tumultuous marriage, Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee shocked the world and the news cycle when they confirmed their already high-profile relationship – getting married a mere few days after announcing they were an item. From there, the duo continued to dominate the zeitgeist of the the late 90s and early 00s, most memorably in the moments following the release of their infamous stolen honeymoon-tape scandal. Anderson then went on to rightly sue the video distribution company, Internet Entertainment Group, which unravelled into a lengthy legal battle.
As reported by Deadline, the eight-part Hulu series will not only focus on the scandalous event, but will also shed some light on the pair's three-year relationship, including the whirlwind romance that led to their marriage after only 96 hours of knowing one another. Although Anderson and Lee aren't directly involved in the Pam & Tommy series, the duo were made aware of the project earlier this year when James was casted to play Anderson.
Gaining momentum in recent months, it has been revealed that Seth Rogan, who is producing the film through his Point Grey production company, is also on board to star in the series as the man who stole the original tape. I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie helming the series with Rob Siegel writing the screenplay, with the series now well into production.
