Not that time matters, but it's the weekend - and there's no better time to order wine delivery. Or a martini to go, if you will.
In several states in Australia, liquor laws have been relaxed allowing venues to provide drinks for takeaway or delivery. And it's a small pleasure we're happy to embrace.
With this in mind we've rounded up some of our favourite places doing drinks to enjoy in isolation. (Also, because health is kind of key right now, moderation).
For a dirty martini delivery
Or a negroni to your door, make Miss Martini your go-to in Sydney. Drinks are made by mixologist Ana Page, then jarred up for delivery in Sydney's Eastern suburbs. Alternatively, you can pick up from Potts Point. If you prefer your cocktails canned, look no further than fellow Sydney favourite Continental Deli - who are serving Quaran-tinnies to go, along with Can-hattans, Ameri-can-os, Cosmopoli-tins.
For your natural wine delivery needs
DRNKS aren't exactly new to bringing wine to our doors. But the isolation situation has found the natural wine delivery service in ultra high demand. Browse their lush selection, or order a pack if you need inspiration. They offer delivery Australia-wide, and a same-day service 6 days a week within 15 kilometres of the Sydney CBD. Also on the list are Newtown. Or if you're in Perth, hit up North Fremantle's Old Bridge Cellars of Wise Child Wine Store for their isolation delivery service.
For cocktails with a side of getting down
Prince of York is offering everything you might need for a two person party. Ready-to-go cocktails - like their Pam's Margarita and Mezcal Negroni (space these out, they come in one litre bottles); cook at home packs and accompanying DJ mixes by Moonshine Music.
To wine and also, dine
We can confirm that Melbourne favourite Bar Margaux is offering French classics to go, accompanied by a wine delivery, of course. In Sydney, Maybe Frank are delivering very good pizza along with bottled cocktails from Maybe Sammy.
In all seriousness, COVID-19 is significant and self-isolation is key. Stay informed with your health department’s latest recommendations and help out those in need wherever possible.
