Between shooting for the new Sue Mengers biopic, being pregnant with her first child and wrapping up her role in the highly-anticipated Adam McKay film Don't Look Up, one would almost think Jennifer Lawrence has too much on her plate. As it turns out, you would be wrong. JLaw has just signed to lead an R-rated comedy by Sony, titled No Hard Feelings, reminding us that the actress is not planning on slowing down any time soon.
Many of our favourite roles helmed by Jennifer Lawrence are united by the single fact that they're often comedies; Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle...with the exception of Winters Bone. So we're all but freaking out that we'll soon have another sharp-witted, JLaw performance to add to our watch list. But what is No Hard Feelings about?
At the present moment little is known about the plot besides the fact that the film is set in Montauk, New York. But thankfully, Deadline has thrown us a bone, characterising the film as "an R-rated comedy very much in that spirit, a raucous comedy in the vein of Bad Teacher and There’s Something About Mary". Which makes sense when you realise that Gene Stupnitsky - from Bad Teacher and one of the writers involved on The Office - is onboard as director and writer.
The bad news is that at this point in time there's no release date written in stone for No Hard Feelings. But from what we know, those craving another Jennifer Lawrence appearance need only hold out until Christmas Eve, when Netflix will premiere Don't Look Up. Why is Don't Look Up causing so much of a stir? Well, mostly due to its' insane star-studded cast that includes Leonardo Di Caprio, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Grande and of course, Jennifer Lawrence.
