Nick Truelove is not one to take life for granted. Perhaps this is why his day-to-day is so redolent of summer vacation; eating home cooked tacos, drinking up the ocean and listening to Açaí Bowl by Dominic Fike on repeat. That's not to say Truelove isn't industrious. As co-founder of label Alfie's Mission and a full-time model he practically lives on set, dancing between, behind and in front of the lens. But he recognises the energising force of nature and is dedicated to living simply.

Referencing urban cityscapes and 80s surf culture, Emporio Armani draws on surfing codes merging them with tailoring to create a collection that speaks to Truelove's free-wheeling lifestyle and anyone else who finds themselves at the point where the city meets the sea. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Have a shower and make a coffee!
Describe what you do for a living?
I am part owner of fashion label Alfie’s Mission and a full time model.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I try to get in the gym most mornings at 8am even if I do a very light session some days. I then spend my day planning/shooting/designing for my label or shooting for other brands. I also like to cook when I can.

Youthful, bright, fresh.
What energises you?
Exercise, healthy eating and the ocean.

Do you have any self-care rituals?
Physically I like to look after my skin as much as I can, using a nightly wash and moisturising routine. Mentally getting into nature and playing sport helps me feel less stressed.
What piece from Emporio Armani's Sustainable SS22 Collection speaks most to your lifestyle and why?
Would have to be the reversible jacket. The cut, fabric and design makes it good for both outdoor activities and going out for dinner with friends.
