Few things tickle us the way fashion and art do when they intertwine, which is why the NGV Gala is one of the most highly-anticipated events in our calendar.

The star-studded occasion takes place annually, to commemorate the opening of the National Gallery of Victoria's flagship exhibition. This year, notable names in fashion, art, and music gathered for an exclusive preview into the vast universe of Yayoi Kusama, one of the world's most celebrated and recognisable artists.

Guests were treated to painting, sculpture, collage, fashion, video, installation and infinity rooms, comprising the largest exhibition of the artists work to be presented in Australia, and one of the most comprehensive in the world. Naturally, in addition to art, creatives were treated to a feast of good food and great music, including a performance by seven-time ARIA nominee, Genesis Owusu.

With only 1000 tickets to the event are on offer each year, scoring a spot to the evening is notoriously difficult. Luckily, Australian model and creative Sarah Ellen was in attendance, and shared an exclusive look at the celebration with RUSSH.
