How NewJeans became K-Pop’s most fashionable group

When it comes to K-pop, fashion isn’t just an accessory—a fact no one knows better than NewJeans. The five-member girl group has been making waves not only with their infectiously catchy music, but their impeccable sense of style, too. 

NewJeans burst onto the K-Pop scene back in 2022 with their debut song, 'Attention'. Since then, they’ve caught the world’s attention (pun intended), even breaking the Guinness World Record for “Fastest K-Pop act to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.” Now, with hits like 'SuperShy' and 'ETA' under their belt, the group are rivalling some of the biggest names in the game, from BTS to BLACKPINK, even becoming the first-ever K-Pop group to headline a festival at this year's Lollapalooza.

And it’s not just their music that’s taking off: individually, each girl has been appointed an ambassador for some of the biggest fashion Houses in the world. Minji is a global ambassador for Chanel, Haerin for Dior, and Hyein for Louis Vuitton. There are also two Australian-Korean members of the group, Hanni and Danielle, who have partnerships with Gucci and Armani Beauty, and Burberry, Celine and YSL Beauty, respectively.

When they’re not repping pieces from these brands, the band are decked out in a wardrobe of impossibly cool labels, thanks to their stylist, Choi Yumi. From Vivienne Westwood, Jacquemus, and Commes Des Garçons, to streetwear courtesy of brands like Nike and Fila, NewJeans’ personal style is as dynamic and diverse as their music.
