It is safe to say that March was one of the craziest months that most people would have endured in their lifetimes. Coronavirus took over the world with such intense rapid-fire progression, none of us were prepared for what has unfolded. From grocery store panic buying, toilet paper shortages, home quarantine, travel bans, restaurant and bar closures, two-person social distancing rules and more.
The economic effects of this virus also seem to bare no end in sight. Many have suffered from the hospitality industry, creative freelancers, along with a slew of other small businesses. Now is the time to support local and buy local. Take away coffees from the café up the road, buy groceries from independent grocers (and avoid the panic at larger chains), order takeaway from your favourite restaurant or buy an artwork from one of many talented artists.
Supporting our local fashion labels is also vital during this time. The fashion industry has taken a huge hit due to the consequences of coronavirus and now more than ever they need our support.
We rounded up our list of Australian fashion and accessory labels along with local retailers. Now it’s time turn our sights over to our friends across the water in NZ.
