It's been a pretty sad year for Australian music lovers. With the cancellation of festivals like Splendour in the Grass, Spilt Milk and Groovin the Moo, and now Bluesfest announcing that their 2025 edition will be their last – the supply is low, but the demand for live music is at an all-time high.
But fear not – just because the festival circuits aren't going ahead doesn't mean that we can't still see our favourite acts. Most of them have tours scheduled on our soil in the second half of 2024, and with plenty of acts to choose from, there's no shortage of international acts to bust out your best dancing shoes for.
From Chinese-Icelandic jazz crooner Laufey to pop princesses Olivia Rodrigo and Tate McRae – these are the acts we'd suggest getting yourselves prepared for with some tickets (or resales) to secure your spot in the crowd.

Miss Drivers License herself will be making her FIRST EVER appearance on Australian shores this October, bringing her GUTS world tour to Sydney and Melbourne. We may have missed out on SOUR, but Rodrigo isn't letting the southern hemisphere slip off her radar this time. Two decades after their debut album Hot Fuss hit the top of the ARIA Charts in our country, The Killers will be heading down the East Coast to tour their Rebel Diamonds ‘best of’ concert. For some extra nostalgia, in Sydney and Melbourne, they’ll also be playing a second night, where the band is set to perform Hot Fuss in its entirety. One of Australia's biggest musical exports will be having his homecoming in December, bringing his Something To Give Each Other tour to multiple cities across the country. It's the country's first chance to catch Sivan on tour in years – and will be some of his biggest shows to date (including two at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt). The Greedy singer will be heading down under for her first headlining Australian tour – Think Later World Tour – in November (just ahead of her sophomore album THINK LATER release in early December). Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will be making his way down under for the first time in more than a decade, playing his latest solo project, Confidenza, a soundtrack album for Domenico Starnone’s novel of the same name. This work follows his acclaimed score for Luca Guadagnino’s 2018 remake of Suspiria (which earned a Grammy nomination at the time). This new project sees Yorke reunite with the London Contemporary Orchestra and a jazz ensemble featuring Robert Stillman and Tom Skinner, his bandmate from The Smile. His shows will likely be a combination of his solo material, film scores, and work with The Smile.
