One of your favourite ‘The Bear’ stars is writing A24 comedy, ‘Peaked’

The Bear star Molly Gordon is adding writer and director to her CV, with A24's latest comedy, Peaked. Gordon — who plays Jeremy Allen White's on-screen (and occasionally off-screen) love interest — will also star in the upcoming film, which is scheduled to shoot later this year.

It's also not the first production Gordon has leant her creative talents to. The actress directed the 2023 mockumentary Theatre Camp alongside Nick Lieberman and, recently, starred in Oh, Hi! which premiered at Sundance Film Festival.

Below, everything we know about Gordon's latest exploit.

What is Peaked about?

According to the official logline, the film follows “the two girls who traumatised you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.” We'll have to wait to see exactly what the plot entails, but with Gordon on board, we're fairly certain it will be hilarious.

Who else is involved in Peaked?

Adding to our suspicions that Peaked will be a comedic hit, Gordon is co-writing the screenplay with friend Allie Levitan, who was recently hired as a writer on Saturday Night Live.

A24 is on board to finance and produce the film, while David Hinojosa and Zach Nutman of 2AM will also produce alongside Gordon. Topic Studios, who previously collaborated with Gordon on Theatre Camp, will co-finance the film.
