Forget cocktails, summer punch, fruity health drinks – when the holidays arrive, there's only one way to celebrate and it's with a glass of fizz. Wouldn't you agree? Well, Moët & Chandon certainly do, and have decided to follow up its inaugural Effervescence Series with another activation at Mrs. Macquarie's Chair (Yurong Point) just in time for the festive season. Free-flowing champagne with a view? Sign us up immediately.
At its heart, the Effervescence Series strives to bring people together, and as such will see over 20 cities across the world raise a glass in unison. For its Sydney chapter, Moët & Chandon will launch the series on December 1, with the public invited to attend from December 2-3 and experience the larger-than-life architectural facade featuring golden arches and multiple levels set against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour.
Upon arrival, guests will receive a Moët Mini before being ushered through the activation to "explore the world of Moët & Chandon Effervescence, entering through the Eternal Effervescence room, exploring the Cellars of Moët and encountering a giant gold bubble – symbolising the essence of Effervescence – before travelling up a giant golden staircase to the upper floor". From this point, guests can sample the curated tasting menu alongside champagne pairings while enjoying the entertainment and theatrical performances Moët & Chandon have lined up.
As always, the Effervescence Series is not complete without a moment to "Toast For A Cause", a charitable initiative that speaks to the generosity of Moët & Chandon. For 2022, the partnering charity is once again The Sapphire Project, which supports the woefully underfunded area of marine conservation and the preservation of biodiversity within Australian oceans and beyond.
