There are a lot of things the Italians know how to do really, really well: the food and wine of course, the architecture and art undeniably... but it also happens to be one of the most fashionable countries in the world. Home to some of the globe's most luxurious fashion ateliers – Milan – it is arguably the earth's epicentre of opulent dressing. From Versace to Bottega Veneta to the Houses of Gucci and Prada – there's no shortage of sartorial genius and personal style decorating both runways and sidewalks.
Yes, we're barely done catching up on all the highlights from London Fashion Week (is anyone else still dreaming about that Burberry FW24 show?), but we're already jetting across to the Italian fashion capital of Milan. Running from Tuesday 20th of February until Monday 26th of February, Milan Fashion Week FW24 is set to be one of the season's most anticipated fashion week destinations.
There's plenty to look forward to on the MFW schedule this week, what with Fendi kicking things off earlier this week with their collection that nodded to their Roman heritage. We also have Diesel, Max Mara, Prada, Moschino, Tom Ford, Blumarine, Gucci, Marni, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta to look forward to.
Attendees so far have kept things colourful, opting for powder blue duster jackets, ribbed green knits, blue tulle skirts and distressed denim dresses, mixed in with neutral trousers, leather accessories and gloves. There were plenty of Diesel and FENDI bags at their respective shows on Day One, paired with blackout sunglasses and gloves (for the drama, of course).
We'll be keeping you updated with all the Milan Fashion Week highlights on our website, but if you're looking for an excuse to snoop on the Milanese street style that's buzzing around the shows, then we'll be reporting on the best Milan Fashion Week FW24 street style looks right here.
