When we were kids, The Parent Trap's Meredith Blake was the snakiest of women. For a seven year old who was obsessed with the film, the idea that a 26 year old woman wanted to ship a pair of long-lost redhead twins off to Switzerland to secure their fathers vineyard fortune was horrifying. Now, with hindsight being the greatest thing, it feels like much more of iconic move than the hoards of angry-mobster-nineties kids gave her credit for, and TikTok is starting to realise it, too.

When you start to realise that miss Blake – an already successful publicist – was only supposed to be 26 at the time and went after a mildy deadbeat daddy (deadbeat because he seemed weirdly fine about the whole never seeing his other daughter again thing) to make sure her future looked full of the Californian sun and an endless supply of wine, suddenly she seems more like a relatable hustler than the antagonist we all thought her to be in 1998. But for the TikTok girlies, it's more about her monochromatic style than anything else, and how could we blame them? She looks far chicer than I do in my mid twenties, and it would seem that wardrobe-related "off days" are not in her vocabulary.

Meredith Blake makes a very good case for the monochromatic wardrobe, and below are our favourite looks.
The introductory look was arguably one of the strongest. The matching nails with the lip, the wide brim sunhat, that boat neck crisp white dress that's giving very much heiress. Someone knew how to dress for the part she wanted in life.
This LBD and dove grey coat combo is one of her finest moments. The streamlined black handbag as an addition ties it all together, as does the martini.
Gym girlies everywhere are going beserk over he camping look, for it is peak LA 90s wannabe hiking gear. Don't forget to stop at Erewhon if you're going to lift this look!
Matching dress with her dilf's tie!
The woman obviously knew how to look expensive and radiant.
