From Dion Lee's sleek opening to Romance Was Born's thrilling finale, these are the moments from MBFWA Resort 18 we won't forget.
The shows ...
Dion Lee: A setting you can't beat. Underneath dark and looming clouds, with the Opera House sails as a backdrop we were off to a striking start. It was the suiting that stole the show.
Holly Ryan: showcasing her newest collection against her handmade sculptures was some true artistry on display.
C/meo Collective: The floral arrangements by Fleurette made an impact. Sculptural and feminine.
Romance Was Born: How could we go past it? Closing out the week with a colourful, opulent and dramatic end. The music, the girls and their walks, the hair and those clothes (or lack thereof).
The beauty ...
The beauty at Christopher Esber was a favourite with dramatic eyes coupled with easy and relaxed hair by Redken. Just the way we like it.
Between shows ...
Meals on the run. Jap’s Table for easy, quick dumplings. Brickfields for a coffee and a bacon sandwich. And to end the week with the luxury of sitting down, we headed to Ester.
The essentials ...
It's all about easy pieces you can wear again and again. Flats, always. Sneakers for added comfort. Simple black pants, a carry all that can fit your life for a week and a trench that's warm enough for night but light enough for day. And we'll be making sure we remember a portable phone charger next year.
