Taking its name from golden hour, a time when the light is at its best and everyone beneath looks warmer, happier, radiant, the JETS campaign conjures up the feeling of Australian summer.
Lensed by Simon Upton at a waterfront residence in Sydney's Palm Beach, Melanie Jarnson embodies the surfside attitude of JETS while encapsulating its appetite for glamour and elegance. Captured at different moments across the property, one lounging by the pool, another enjoying ocean views from the balcony, Jarnson is styled in the Golden Hour collection.
Comprising of a monochromatic colour palette, with earthy greens, burnt orange and red thrown in for good measure, the minimal silhouettes are paired with busy patterns, flowy shirts and kaftan-like dresses. Chunky gold hoops and chain-link necklaces add a touch of opulence, elevating the look from its laid back foundations.
Melanie Jarnson is a natural fit for JETS. Something of a global citizen, having lived between Thailand, India, Belgium and Australia, Jarnson epitomises the intrepid spirit of the brand, while her career in acting, having starred in films like Mortal Kombat, Beast and Blacklight, speaks to the JETS air of sophistication. Despite all this, Jarnson is as down to earth as they come.
As the name Golden Hour suggests, this collection is all about the sun. Speaking to RUSSH about her beauty essentials, tips and tricks, Jarnson revealed that after applying sunblock, getting her daily dose of sunshine was the best beauty advice she's ever received. "My partner tells me to treat myself like a flower – get my daily dose of sun and drink lots of water. When I don’t treat myself like a flower, I look a lot more like a cactus."
