May is here, and it is freezing. Not to be all doom and gloom, but climate change is on the mind as we slip into winter territory far faster than we'd usually expect this time of year. With this in mind, we're hunkering down on our shopping necessities as we prep for winter, and this months fashion favourites reflect this crusade.
Classic long sleeves, of the cotton t-shirt and poplin variety are on the restock list, as is a classic trench from Lee Mathews. I personally have been in the market for a fun enclosed black heel, and this pair by Nensi Dojaka might just tick all of the boxes. For comfort, New Balances reappear for freezing, early morning walks.
By way of accessories, Hair scrunchies and large sculptural necklaces are still very much a focal point. Naurally, we're always in the market for a good belt, and our current obsession with one from The Row knows no bounds, and a pair of Saint Laurent cat eye sunglasses get our tick of approval. A lot of the time winter can bring feelings of introspection and dressing down. I am having a hard time letting go of flirty little dresses and layering fun bikini's and exchanging them for dark cashmere and serious trousers, so hopefully the below list will help you strike a balance between the classics and the fun.
