We are officially firmly in March, and frankly, it's been a rough start. Those who had zero expectations for the betterment of 2022 were on the money, because the past weeks have proved them right. This month, as we wait out the end of La Niña and attempt to inject some joy back into our lives, we are turning to two themes: colour and trans seasonal wear.
A sporty edge has been thrown in, because if we're going to do colour, it's going to be in non-traditional ways. Look to classic dad sneakers and the revival of the slip-on Vans for all of your shoe needs. We're leaning into comfort with sweatpants and cashmere pullovers, while predicting that headwear is going to be big this winter, and dipping our toes in with an open knit version.
Today is the first morning waking up with a chill, with inevitably warmer afternoons ahead (just call me the weatherman), which is why we're layering sweatshirts over loose t-shirts and comfortable sporty shorts. The Fall 2022 shows gave us a lot to think about by way of formal accessories like the dinner glove, but during this time, throwing a ball around, or taking the dog for a walk feels far more soul-soothing than a dinner party.
So, hang up the heels and bust out the yellows, greens, purples and blues. These are our March fashion favourites for the month. It's a colourful one.
