An evening by the seaside celebrating Maggie Marilyn x FELLA’s swimwear capsule

Tucked into a sandy cove that gently hugs the sea's shore was where Maggie Marilyn and FELLA swimwear gathered friends of the brand to mark the occasion of their first swimwear collaboration – which combines the former's penchant for stripes with the latter's elevated and flattering designs in a red and a navy print.

As the sun set over the iconic Sydney harbour, friends of the brand like Anna Feller, Gabrielle Penfold, Kitty Callaghan, Nina Trefkorn, Ryan Cullen, Mikka and Emily Algar gathered on the sand, treated to a beachside barbecue at Camp Cove. Donning the new collection – and other garments from Maggie Marilyn's acclaimed capsule, The Best of It, guests were treated to a a feast of fresh oysters, prawns and other local fares; a plethora of white roses accenting the sea of signature stripes on display.

The atmosphere was relaxed and insouciant, spotlighting the little joys of summer – from seashells and salty hair to beach umbrellas and sandy toes – all feelings Maggie Hewitt, founder of Maggie Marilyn and self-described "summer baby", knows all too well from her childhood upbringing in New Zealand's Bay of Islands.

"“I couldn’t be more honoured to have worked on this collaboration alongside Rosie and Christine - two businesswomen and fellow sun-seekers who share my love for summer and commitment to designing silhouettes that celebrate the female figure in all its forms," Hewitt said of the collaboration.

The collection uses FELLA's signature Pique Italian cloth, combined with Maggie Marilyn's classic stripes – a motif that has become synonymous with their DNA since the brand's inception.

The Maggie Marilyn x FELLA swimwear capsule will be released in 16 different styles, and will be available to purchase at Maggie Marilyn's flagship stores, and on Maggie Marilyn's website and FELLA swimswear's website (as well as select stockists).
